Oxygen gas plant

BASIC PRINCIPLE :

  • The oxygen gas plant recovers oxygen and nitrogen from air simultaneously through Low pressure cryogenic distillation process.
  • The design is based on an Italy company using rotary screw compressor and turbo expanders.
  • The feed air enters the Molecular Sieve purification unit where impurities for instance moisture and CO2 are alleviated from the processed air.
  • The air is liquefied by cryogenic cooling using advanced plate and fin along with highly efficient heat exchangers and turbo expanders.
  • The air separates into oxygen & nitrogen in the air separation column with final product being sent for pipeline application or stored into cylinders at the required pressure.

PROCESS DESCRIPTION :

Air compressors to compress atmospheric air : We have the most recent and fully automatic air compressors to compress the atmospheric air. The compressors have intrinsic air suction filter to suck air and leave behind the impurities, which are mixed with the air.

Process skid/air purification unit to purify the compressed air : Even after trying very hard, there are some impurities mixed with the air get inside. The process skid removes the impurities for instance carbon dioxide, moisture and so on.

Expansion engine/expander to cool the compressed air down :Once the atmospheric air is compressed and purified, now it is time for cooling. This is because; it is easy to separate oxygen and nitrogen in the liquid form. The -165 to -170 degree centigrade temperature is considered as perfect temperature for separation.

Air separation unit/column to separate :Oil free moisture free and carbon dioxide free air gets into the column. They are capable to taking the air to -165 to-170 deg C. In such a temperature, the air becomes liquid and thus easily separable.

Cylinder filling manifold to fill in cylinders :After air separation, the oxygen and nitrogen is sent to the cylinder filling manifolds. They with the help of liquid oxygen pumps fill in cylinder at the pressure of 150 to 160 bar.

SCOPE OF SUPPLY :

Air Compressor :Our company provides latest air compressors to suck atmospheric air. A suction air filter is attached with the device to succeed the suction task efficiently.

Air purification system :This system bed of molecular sieve is utilized in the air purification system. It eradicates impurities for instance carbon dioxide, oil and moisture from the processed air.

Expander (Expansion Engine) :Expander (Expansion Engine) provides cooling to the air for the liquification process and supported by booster, so as to lessen the expanded air column, stabilize the upper columns working condition and diminish power consumption. The turbine expanders have complete trouble free working and long life and reliability.

Air Separation Unit :After getting the air purified in process skid, the air enters the air separation unit (cold box) where the purified air converts into liquid air by deep cooling at cryogenic (low temperatures) and is separated into liquid oxygen and nitrogen.

Computer control :All the plants can be configured for automatic operation through a pc this will use a out switching valves of German or Japanese and motorized cryogenic valves on cold box.

Cylinder filling by Liquid Oxygen Pump :Liquid Oxygen passes from the condenser to the cryogenic liquid oxygen pump for filling gas into cylinders.
